HOLY TRINITY ST STEPHENS MEMORIAL
SELECTION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT
The wardens of Holy Trinity St Stephens Memorial are pleased to announce that a Selection Committee for a new Rector was formed on December 14, 2017 under the oversight of the Archdeacon of London, the Venerable Sam Thomas.
The Committee consists of the wardens, Harry Harris, Rick Pritchett, Joe Cadue and Beth McKinlay; two members of parish council, Bill Yeomans and Vic Templar and two members from the congregation Pat Edgerton and Chuck McEwan. The Committee, from its own members, has selected Chuck McEwan as chair and Pat Edgerton as vice chair.
The Committee members have committed to observe the strictest of confidentiality rules as they go through the selection process. As such they will not be able to divulge any information regarding the proceedings, the intent being to protect the integrity of the process, the confidentiality of the deliberations and the individuals involved. We ask that all parishioners and clergy respect this commitment and refrain from inquiries in this regard. The selection process itself is public and published in the church canons for those who wish to avail themselves of the details.
Parishioner interest is fully understandable and the Selection Committee is committed to keeping the members informed as to where they are in the process. As such, deliberations will commence in earnest early in January 2018. Your expectations of a new Rector are key component to the search and the Committee will be seeking your input through a Parish Questionnaire. This will take place as soon as can be arranged.
As we make this announcement we celebrate Jesus’ birth and the beginning of his ministry among us. We too are beginning in the joining of our congregations under one roof and the beginning of a search for a Rector to guide us as one body to minister the “Good News” from this place.
Peace and Joy to All,
Your Selection Committee
