“A friendly Church, a family Church, a faithful Church”. This was the original motto for Holy Trinity Anglican Church which had its beginnings in June of 1959. The first services were held in the rectory, and as attendance grew, they moved to C.C. Carrothers School auditorium. Between 1960 and 1964, the congregation and the first rector, Rev. Jack James, built the church building that we know today. Each stone was hand chipped and individually laid by the men of the parish. The stones are not laid on top of one another, the weight is spread out in all directions until they reach the firm foundation. Each stone sharing its neighbours burden. As it is with us, we all share each others burdens and the foundation is Jesus Christ who shares all our burdens.
